Adult & Teacher Workshops

For many years, I have conducted writing, art, and acting workshops in New York and Kansas, for students of all ages.

(To see the Workshops I offer for younger students, look under School Visits.)

Teacher Enrichment - Use Writing, Art, and Acting as a Way to Inspire Your Students to Learn in almost any subject.

You have a creative bone...and you can use it to inspire your students to get more involved in their academic studies. Creative thinking is used in every field, including: math, science, history...but for some reason, most people forget that and think it's only for writing a story or drawing a picture.

This workshop will provide you with some creative exercises that you can use in the different subjects you teach. It will also help you to feel more confident in coming up with your own brilliant creative exercises.

Writing & Illustrating for Children:

Have a children's story in mind, but don't know how to proceed? In this workshop, we will do exercises to strengthen your skills in story structure, voice, and work to create a dynamic story that will get noticed.

Be Prolific! - a creative brain workout

Great for all types of writers, illustrators, actors, artists, both beginning and experienced, anyone wanting to get out of their thinking rut and open up to new ideas for their current and future projects.

This workshop is packed with exercises that will take your mind from its regular traveling pattern and open it to a new path of possibilities. Using art, writing, and music as tools for increasing the depth of creativity, class members will come up with at least 10 new project ideas.

Be Productive - ongoing writing workout

Many writers have great ideas but need a push to get their ideas onto paper and explore all the possibilities of their stories.

This workshop is labor intensive with in-class and take home exercises designed to get you writing and exploring all the elements of story including: character, setting, genre, conflict, structure, and story ideas.

Class members complete at least one new story and come up with many ideas for new projects.
